Tata Super App | Tata Nue App Launched | After many delays, Tata Digital unveils super app Tata Neu


Bengaluru: After several delays, Tata Group finally launched its much-awaited super app Tata Neu for the public on Thursday.


ET had first reported on March 15 that Tata Neu would be launched on April 7.

“Tata Neu is an exciting platform that gathers all our brands into one powerful app,” Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran said in a LinkedIn post, “Combining our traditional consumer-first approach with the modern ethos of technology, it is an all-new way to discover the wonderful world of Tata.”

Tata-owned brands including BigBasket, 1mg, Croma, AirAsia, IHCL, Qmin, Starbucks, Tata Cliq, Tata Play, and Westside will be available on the super app initially, he said. Vistara, Air India, Titan, Tanishq, and Tata Motors will be added soon, Chandrasekaran said.

The super app “seamlessly blends product commerce, service commerce and financial services into a consumer-first, future-ready, integrated experience”, Tata Digital, which houses Tata Neu, said in a statement.

Partik Pal, CEO of Tata Digital, said the journey of Tata Neu has begun with a cumulative consumer base of 120 million users and 2,500 offline stores, along with an 80 million app footprint across its digital assets.

“We have over a dozen category-leading consumer brands ranging from electronics, fashion, travel, hospitality, groceries, pharmacy, and financial services. We believe that with Tata Neu, we will create a highly differentiated consumer platform,” he said in a statement.

The app has been in the testing phase for the past several months, with access limited to Tata Group employees.

The group is promoting Tata Neu in the
ongoing Indian premier League (IPL)where Tatas are the title sponsors to promote the super app.

“The Indian digital ecosystem is poised for massive growth over the next decade, with radically new consumption patterns and behaviour in every category,” said Mukesh Bansal, president at Tata Digital. “We will witness unprecedented levels of digital transformation that will be heavily influenced by the customer. We are deeply committed to participate in and shape that transition by pioneering new business models and delivering unique solutions to the market.”
