You can consider the Punch EV or petrol and diesel SUVs like the Venue, Nexon or Brezza.
I am planning to buy a new car for my office commute, but I’m confused about whether I should go in for a petrol, an EV or a diesel; my priorities are fuel efficiency and features. My budget is Rs 15 lakh, and I can stretch it up to Rs 20 lakh.

Autocar India says: EVs are a great option for the city, but it’s important to have some form of home or office charging as relying on public chargers is inconvenient. Ideally, you should be able to set up a home charger in your parking lot or at least ensure that the building society you live in has one. If you sort out your charging infrastructure, we would recommend you go for an EV because besides the very low running costs, EVs are much smoother and nicer to drive than ICE vehicles. For your budget, you can look at the Nexon EV, which has some discounts now, or the Punch EV, which is cheaper but smaller.
