The Nexon Dark is available in a total of 23 mid-spec and high-end variants.

Tata Motors had launched the Nexon facelift in September last year, and in typical form, it was only a matter of time before the Dark Edition variants for the compact SUV became available. Priced from Rs 11.45 lakh-15.80 lakh, the Nexon Dark is available from the mid-spec Creative trim onwards and costs about Rs 35,000 more than the variant it’s based on.

Tata Nexon Dark Edition variants explained

Tata offers the Nexon Dark with two engines – a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol that produces 120bhp and 170Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel unit that makes 115hp and 260Nm of torque. The former gets 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT and 7-speed dual-clutch auto options, while the latter just as 6-speed manual and AMT options.

There are a total of 23 trims to choose from as other than the petrol-AMT, which is only available in three trims – Creative, Creative + and Creative + S variants – all other powertrain options come in five trim levels, adding the top-spec Fearless and Fearless+ S.
