Nexon’s rival Mahindra XUV 3XO is currently the only compact SUV in India with a panoramic sunroof.
Tata Motors is likely to to introduce a panoramic sunroof option on the Nexon. The move comes just weeks after its rival Mahindra XUV 3XO was launched in India with a segment-first panoramic sunroof feature.
- Nexon to likely get panoramic sunroof on higher variants
- No mechanical changes expected
- Nexon line-up recently rejigged with new entry variants
The Tata Nexon currently gets a single-pane sunroof, with prices for sunroof-equipped variants starting from Rs 9.80 lakh. The panoramic sunroof will likely be reserved for the higher trims only, while lower variants will likely continue to be offered with a single-pane unit. The introduction of the panoramic sunroof is also expected to result in a slight increase in its prices.
The recently launched Mahindra XUV 3XO is the only compact SUV in India to be offered with a panoramic sunroof, available from the AX7 variant which is priced from Rs 12.49 lakh onwards. It will be interesting to see if the Nexon’s panoramic sunroof equipped variants will undercut the XUV 3XO.
