Tara Sutaria mentioned that she is an introvert unlike her young co-stars who are “are comfortable to speak about themselves”.
Tara Sutaria is currently busy promoting her upcoming movie Apurva. In a recent interview, the actress talked about being an ‘outsider’ in the film industry and revealed that it was a ‘unique experiece’ when she was new in Bollywood. She mentioned that ‘everybody has their clans’ and added that she didn’t know how to be a part of it.
“I also have friends in the industry now, so I feel a lot more confident when I go out, but when I was new in the industry, it’s a very unique experience. When you are from the outside and when you come in, because everybody has their clans, you don’t know how to make yourself a part of that. So there’s been a lot of learning for me, and I’m finally opening up,” Tara told India Today.
“It’s been wonderful because I now have gotten to know people, and they are getting to know me, and I’m enjoying this,” she added.
Tara further mentioned that she is an introvert unlike her young co-stars who are “are comfortable to speak about themselves”. “I think for a great deal of time, I felt I’ve always been in my own shell, not just since I’ve been an actor, but I’ve always been relatively reserved. I think that’s changing a little bit now because I’m talking quite a lot these days. But no, especially during my first, second, third, fourth film, I would say I just didn’t speak. I was really reserved. I would let all of my co-actors speak. I would just listen,” she said. The 27-year-old actress also admitted that being an introvert has not worked in her favour at times.
Tara Sutaria made her acting debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2 in 2019. Later, she featured in several films including Ek Villain Returns, Heropanti 2, Tadap and Marjaavaan.
