Swades actress Gayatri Joshi made her first public appearance with her husband, Vikas Oberoi after their car crash in Italy. The former actress made her way to attend the Jio World Plaza launch on Tuesday night with the businessman. For her first outing since the crash, Gayatri was seen wearing a yellow gown with ruffled sleeves. She clubbed the gown with a pair of heels and let her hair down. On the other hand, Vikas wore a blue suit.
In a video shared by a paparazzo, Gayatri was seen posing for the cameras while Vikas tried to opt out. However, after the paparazzi requested them, he returned and they posed together. Watch the video below:
For the unversed, earlier this month, Gayatri Joshi and Vikas Oberoi narrowly escaped a car crash involving a Ferrari, a Lamborghini and a camper van occurred on a rural road in Sardinia, Italy. The accident killed two elderly couple. A video of the accident had gone viral. In the aftermath, according to a report by CNBC TV18, no prima facie case has been registered against Vikas Oberoi.
According to multiple media reports, the collision took place when a red Ferrari and a blue Lamborghini attempted to overtake the camper van at the same time, causing it to overturn. Tragically, the Ferrari caught fire, claiming the lives of the elderly couple inside, identified as Melissa Krautli, 63, and Markus Krautli, 67, from Switzerland, according to a report by Free Press Journal.
Gayatri confirmed the news of her accident to the publication. She added that she and her husband were doing “absolutely fine”. “Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here… With gods grace, we both are absolutely fine,” she was quoted by the portal.
