The filming for Stranger Things Season 3 has been completed halfway, with the majority of the show still remaining to be filmed.
Officially halfway through filming, the highly-awaited science fiction horror series Stranger Things is gearing up for its fifth and final season. While fans are eagerly waiting to see what the Netflix show’s final chapter will bring, the hopes have been pretty high, thanks to the previous season that left fans at the edge of their seats. The next part is believed to be even bigger and better than ever. As the hype around Stranger Things Season 5 continues to build, makers have dropped a first look at the cast and sets of the show, including the OG Hawkins kids.
With narrations from many of the main cast members, the BTS video also shows newcomers Nell Fisher, Alex Breaux, and Jake Connelly. With the intense theme music playing in the background, Caleb McLaughlin states, “We’re about halfway through filming now, and it’s exciting. There’s so much going on. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Stranger Things season 5.”
The clip that takes viewers a lot inside the show shares sneak peeks of Vecna, Lucas, Max, Will, Dustin, Mike and of course Eleven. Also joining the gang are Nancy, Jonathan, and Steve. While the core friend group was majorly separated throughout season 4, it seems like they are back in the game. Little did we see any shots of Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven with the other cast.
“I started when I was 10, and I’m now turning 20 years old. Feels very weird” Brown says in the clip, while Noah Schnapp adds, “It’s just so exciting. I think this is going to be the best season yet.”
Elsewhere, there are glimpses of the Upside Down, which seems to be leaking into the real-world Hawkins, the menacing dark holes, and vines engulfing the walls. Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays the evil Vecna, says, “Season 4 was big. Season 5 definitely feels bigger.”
What To Expect In Stranger Things Season 5?
Picking up after the events of the previous part, the upcoming Stranger Things season is expected to follow the final adventure of the Hawkins gang as they team up to crack the town’s biggest mystery, i.e. to defeat Vecna once and for all.
According to the Duffer Brothers, the finale might also have a time jump, further confirming to Collider that it will be primarily set in Hawkins and the Upside Down with no Russian involvement.
