Prabhas starrer Project K is touted to be one of the most costliest projects in Indian cinema. The movie will be released pan-India and its title was later changed to Kalki 2898 AD. It has been garnering much attention for various reasons. After its glimpse was unveiled at a global event, expectations about the movie have reached their peak.
There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the movie about top stars from the Bollywood and Tamil Film industry playing key roles in Kalki 2898 AD. Previously it was known that Brahmāstra actor Amitabh Bachchan and Vikram actor Kamal Haasan will play prominent roles in the film.
Now if reports are to be believed, director Ram Gopal Varma and SS Rajamouli too will be featured in the movie in a cameo role. Reportedly, Ram Gopal Varma has already completed shooting for his portion of the role in the upcoming and much-awaited movie, Kalki 2898 AD.
Kalki 2898 AD has an interesting cast ensemble featuring Deepika Padukone as the female lead. It will also star Dulquer Salmaan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Pasupathy and other renowned actors in crucial roles. The movie is touted to be a mythological sci-fi that is being backed by Vyjayanthi Movies and the music department is being handled by Santhosh Narayanan.
Ram Gopal Varma is currently busy gearing up for his upcoming political movie Vyooham starring Elena Tuteja, Ajmal Ameer and Surabhi Prabhavathi. On the other hand, SS Rajamouli is currently basking in the success of his period drama RRR, featuring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Shriya Saran, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt.
Prabhas, who is known for his exceptional performance in the Baahubali franchise was last seen in Om Raut’s Adipurush which was criticised by critics and fans alike for its storyline, shoddy VFX and poorly-written dialogues. Previously too, he delivered back-to-back flop movies like Saaho and Radhe Shyam. Prabhas currently has Raja Deluxe, Ravanam and Salaar in the pipeline. Nag Ashwin is known for directing movies like Yevade Subramanyam, Mahanati and Pitta Kathalu.
