It was reported a few weeks ago that director Sudha Kongara is planning a film with actor Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. While the official confirmation is yet to be made, rumours are now rife that actress Sreeleela will play the female lead. According to media reports, it could be the film Poorananooru, which was originally supposed to be played by Suriya. As it did not take off, it was said that the director would work with Sivakarthikeyan on the film and it was said that director Lokesh Kanagaraj will also play an important role in the film. Reports suggest that a photoshoot for the film was held recently and the official announcement will be made soon. The developments of this yet untitled and yet unconfirmed film are creating a buzz on social media. Music composer GV Prakash Kumar will compose the music for the film and with Sreeleela in the lead role, the anticipation for the film is higher than ever.
Sivakarthikeyan is awaiting the release of his film Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. The film is a biopic of the late Major Mukund Vradaharajan and features Sai Pallavi in the female lead role. The actor is also working on his next film with AR Murugadoss. The film is tentatively titled SK X ARM and has Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth, Vikranth and Vidyut Jammwal among others in its ranks.
Sreeleela, who was last seen in Guntur Kaaram, is reportedly set to make her debut in Kollywood with the film Good Bad Ugly starring Ajith in the lead role. The film is directed by Adhik Ravichandran.
She started her career as a child actress in 2017 before playing a lead role in the Kannada film Kiss in 2019 and subsequently acting in the Telugu films Pelli SandaD (2021) and Dhamaka (2022), for which she received the SIIMA Award for Best Actress in Telugu. In 2023 and 2024, she had four critical and commercial failures in Skanda, Aadikeshava, Extra Ordinary Man and Guntur Kaaram.
