Popular Malayalam actors Biju Sopanam and Shivani Menon, known for their heartwarming portrayal of father and daughter in the beloved show Uppum Mulukum, are set to share the screen once again in the upcoming film Rani. The film, directed by Nizamudeen Nazar, is slated for release on October 6, promising to be a family entertainer.
Rani is produced by Binu Christopher, Abdul Rasheed, and Manikuttan VD under the banner of SMT Productions and Reshaj Entertainments. The story, penned by Mani S Diwakar and Nizamuddin Nasser, revolves around a man embarking on a journey to fulfil his late wife’s dreams, promising an emotional and heartfelt narrative.
In addition to Biju Sopanam and Shivani Menon, the film features a talented ensemble cast, including Jayan Cherthala, Kulapulli Leela, Maqbool Salman, Kannan Pattambi, Ansal Pallurutty, Riyas Pathan, Jensen Alappat, Kavita Baiju, Dasettan Kozhikode, Aromal BS, Ranjan Dev, and Sridevi Putedadath. Rahulraj Thottathil takes charge of the film’s music, setting the tone for its emotional resonance.

Shivani Menon, who made her acting debut as a child artist in the TV show Uppum Mulakum on Flowers TV, has received acclaim for her acting talent. In 2019, she was honoured with the Kerala State Television Award, recognizing her contribution to the industry.
