Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2023: Sonam Kapoor Ahuja graced the red carpet looking stunning in Tamara Ralph’s couture ensemble.
Making a statement and how, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja graced the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2023 in stunning Tamara Ralph couture.
Casting a spell with her fashion quotient, the diva’s ensemble featured a black velvet corsetted tailleur paired with a skirt. The distinct and unique look from Tamara Ralph’s Couture Fall 2023 collection celebrates Sonam’s versatile personality. Known for her love for experimenting with her fashion choices, Sonam’s look was completed with a pearl necklace. The necklace did remind us of Wilma’s necklace from the popular cartoon film The Flintstones.
The highlight of the look has to be a flexible cage skirt encrusted with lustrous gold metal, pearls and crystals. While the pearl seems to still be the favourite embellishment with celebrities experimenting with the look, we love how Sonam opted for this trendy style but chose to keep it avant-garde and experimental. There’s no one like Sonam.

A unique creative blend of the designer’s vision and craftsmanship made this look one of Sonam’s finest styles this year. A bold red lip complementing the sleek bun hairstyle, Sonam sashayed the red carpet like a diva. While we hoped she had also adorned the dramatic cutout hat Tamara paired with the ensemble in her couture show in Paris, we guess that’s reserved for another stylish outing.
Sonam was styled by Abhilasha Devnani. Her flawless makeup was done by celebrity makeup artist Namrata Soni and her hair and the Instagram stunning pictures were shot by House of Pixels.
Sonam’s impeccable style makes her who she is and it does take a village to make a star stand out.
The opening ceremony was attended by the who’s who of the industry including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Tara Sutaria, Vijay Varma, Nimrat Kaur, Sanjay Suri, Onir, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Amyra Dastur, Diana Penty, Zoya Akhtar, Vishal Bharadwaj, Rasika Duggal, Gurfateh Pirzada, Riteish Deshmukh, Gauri Shinde, Sharad Kelkar, Sharvari, Aditi Govitrikar, Arzoo Govitrikar, Nimrat Kaur, Mira Nair, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Dino Morea and Ayesha Kanga among others.
