We were the first to exclusively report to you with images of the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo. Now, we can confirm that price announcement for the Kushaq Monte Carlo in India will take place on May 9. Akin to other Skoda Monte Carlo models, the Kushaq Monte Carlo will boast of blacked-out exterior cosmetic enhancements along with more features and cosmetic updates on the inside.

  • Kushaq Monte Carlo likely to be offered with red and white paint schemes
  • Will finally benefit from a digital instrument cluster on the inside
  • Based on top-spec Style variant, will come with both 1.0 and 1.5 TSI engines

Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo: exterior updates

On the outside, the Kushaq Monte Carlo will get a blacked-out treatment for the wing mirrors, roof, grille and bumper inserts. For instance, the chrome surround on the grille and the silver accents on the front bumper will be blacked-out. Similarly, the front and rear skid plates will also come finished in black. It will also wear prominent “Monte Carlo’ badging on the front fenders. Additionally, the badges on the tail gate will also be blacked-out. The Kushaq Monte Carlo will ride on a set of new 205/55 R17 tyres with alloy wheel design that look similar to the previous-gen Octavia RS 245. It will likely be offered with two exterior paint shades – red and white.

Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo: interior and features update

The biggest upgrade on the inside will be the addition of a new digital instrument cluster, which was so far already available on higher variants of the Taigun and Slavia. Here on the Kushaq Monte Carlo, it will come with red graphics to match the overall theme.

The Kushaq Monte Carlo will also get revised upholstery and new dashboard inserts. Compared to the grey and black theme of the standard Kushaq, the Monte Carlo version will get dual-tone red and black upholstery. And while the dashboard design will remain the same, there will be new red inserts on the dash, centre console and all four doors.

Being based on the top-spec Style trim, the Kushaq Monte Carlo will come fully loaded with all bells and whistles. That’ll include full LED headlamps, automatic wipers and headlamps, single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, a six-speaker sound system with subwoofer, six airbags, ESC and a tyre pressure monitoring system among others.

Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo: engine options

The Kushaq Monte Carlo will be available with both the 115hp, 175Nm, 1.0-litre TSI engine and the 150hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre TSI engine. Skoda will also be offering both the manual and automatic gearbox options with both the engines, which means buyers will have a wide price range to choose from.

As per our sources, the Kushaq Monte Carlo is expected to cost around Rs 80,000 – 1 lakh more than their respective standard counterparts. Here in the mid-size SUV segment, it is only Kia who offers a special variant of the regular SUV with the Seltos X-Line.
