Over 500 career counselling sessions were clocked in the first 30 days of the centres that have already opened, the statement added. The goal for the counselling centres was to counsel over half a million individuals on their career moves, and for the learning centres to see enrollments of over 10,000 learners.

The Rs 100-crore corpus has been earmarked to access non-metros and smaller towns and accelerate operations in the next 12 months. Upgrad currently has over 50 franchises and 150 channel partners in its pre-existing offline network.

“We’ve identified the high-demand geographic pockets that will allow talents beyond metros to experience the sincere hand-holding they need in their lifelong learning journey,” Upgrad cofounder and managing director Mayank Kumar said.

The centres will serve as hubs for career counselling for those looking to upskill and re-skill and will have access to all of Upgrad’s courses and programmes in one place.
