Shreyas Talpade suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty, leading to his hospitalisation earlier this week. Currently, he is under doctors’ supervision, and reports indicate that his condition is stable. Concerns about his health have surfaced, particularly after his return from the shooting of the upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle. Now, Shreyas’s friend and film-maker Soham Shah has given a relieving update. He told a portal that Shreyas will get discharged.
He shared with Times Of India, “In all likelihood, he (Shreyas Talpade) is likely to be discharged Sunday night or Monday morning… I visited him on the same night he was taken to hospital and I was there today (Friday). It was a big relief to see Shreyas smiling and talking with me, being back to himself.”
The Kaal director added, “He was filled with gratitude and blessings that he was timely taken care of. Thanks to his wife Deepti, who had amazing presence of mind and took the right decisions at the right time. They both have felt divine intervention that he was revived back, as it was a very challenging time to reach the hospital battling the traffic. Thank God he’s recovering well and everyone’s best wishes are with him.”
As reported by the Bombay Times, Shreyas Talpade smiled at his family on Saturday morning following which everyone was relieved.
“Shreyas is better now. He has been recovering well and the surgery went fine. He looked at us and smiled today morning. That was relieving to all of us. He will himself talk to you in a few days time,” a family member of the actor told the entertainment portal.
On Friday, Shreyas Talpade’s wife also issued a statement revealing the actor is “stable.” She also shared that the actor will be discharged in a few days.
“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming concern and well-wishes following the recent health scare my husband experienced. I’m relieved to update everyone that he is now in stable condition and will be discharged in a few days. The medical team’s exceptional care and timely response have been instrumental during this time, and we are grateful for their expertise,” her statement read.
“We kindly request respect for our privacy as he continues his recovery. Your unwavering support has been a tremendous source of strength for both of us,” it added.

Shreyas Talpade was shooting for Welcome 3 during the day. Besides Talpade, the film also stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Tushar Kapoor in key roles. Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt will also be seen in Welcome 3. Welcome 3 is titled Welcome To The Jungle. The original two films in the Welcome franchise were released in 2007 and 2015 respectively. In these movies, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor played the iconic duo – Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai. Welcome 3 will be released on Christmas 2024.
