Shiva Rajkumar-starrer Ghost Creates Record, Completes 100 Million Views On OTT –

Ghost was released on the OTT platform Zee 5 on November 17.

The makers of the movie promoted its release on Zee 5 with the help of auto drivers in Karnataka.

Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar recently greeted his fans with the movie Ghost on October 19 this year. It was directed by MG Srinivas and starred Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role. Actors Jayaram, Anupam Kher and Satya Prakash played prominent roles in the film. The movie performed well and collected Rs 30 crore at the box office. It is the first instalment of a cinematic universe, where MG Srinivas will be reprising his role as Mahesh Das from the movie Birbal Trilogy: Case 1. Ghost was released on the OTT platform Zee 5 on November 17. The movie has now created a record of 100 million views on Zee 5. Shiva Rajkumar’s fans are now celebrating this feat.

The makers of the movie promoted its release on Zee 5 with the help of auto drivers in Karnataka. The drivers parked their autos in a way that reflected the title of the film. ‘Ghost on Zee 5’ were seen in a drone shot which captured the group image of the autos. The photos have now gone viral. A total of 10,000 posters of the movie were distributed by the makers before the OTT release of the movie. The auto driver pasted the posters at the back of their vehicle. The intense promotion of the movie has led to the success of Ghost at Zee 5.

Ghost faced stiff competition from the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Leo in the theatres. Shiva Rajkumar, however, didn’t show any consideration for this clash and told PTI that he wishes the best for every film. He further said that the release of movies is not about clashing, but for the entertainment of the audience. “We wish everybody well, let every film do well. Let people take advantage of the holiday season, come for all the films, so they can have a good festive time by watching all films,” Shiva Rajkumar told PTI.
