Shahid Kapoor Reveals Priyadarshan Dubbed His Voice In Chup Chup Ke Without Telling Him: ‘Who’s Voice Is That’ –

Shahid Kapoor has come a long way in his career. The actor has portrayed many iconic roles on screen which has left a mark on audiences’ minds. Among them was his role in Chup Chup Ke. He was seen pretending to be a deaf and mute boy. But there is some interesting information which you might know. The voice we hear saying Jabba Jabba is not of Shahid Kapoor and the actor himself was not aware. He only came to know after watching the film. Yes, you are reading right, and recently he has revealed also.

The Indian Express mentions that during the promotion of the film Jersey with Mrunal Thakur, Shahid played a fun segment where he responded to questions and comments from fans. One of the comments read, “Can’t believe this is the same guy who used to do ‘Jabba Jabba’ once.”  Responding to this, Shahid revealed, “In case you didn’t know, that ‘Jabba Jabba’ voice was not me. I also reacted the same way as the audience did because when I saw the film and at that time, I was a newcomer, so, you don’t get a lot of importance. He did it without telling me.”

The actor continued, “Priyadarshan had directed the film and he used to do dubbing and all in Chennai. He took someone from there and made them do ‘Dabba Dabba’. So, when I was looking at the film, I was like ‘Who’s voice is that?’ Everyone was like ‘Oh, he’s so funny!’ But yeah ‘it’s not me!’”

To note, Chup Chup Ke also starred Kareena Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Shakti Kapoor, Om Puri and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.

Currently, Shahid Kapoor is seen in Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya with Kriti Sanon. The film is holding strong place at the box office. Well, apart from this he also has Deva in his kitty. Last year he shared the look. He will also be seen in Farzi season 2.
