Shahid Kapoor Feels Comparison With SRK Was The ‘Worst Thing’ That Happened: Here’s Why –

Shahid Kapoor opened up about being compared to Shah Rukh Khan.

Shahid Kapoor got candid about being compared to Shah Rukh Khan on numerous occasions.

Shahid Kapoor is surely a talented actor prominently known for taking up unconventional roles, as evident from all his recent hits like Farzi and Bloody Daddy. As the actor looks forward to a slew of exciting projects that’ll be released soon. However, time and again, people have drawn comparisons with Shah Rukh Khan. The actor recently dubbed such comparisons as the ‘worst thing that ever happened to him’.

In an interview with the entertainment portal PinkVilla, Shahid Kapoor explained, “It’s the worst thing that can happen. Why should you be the next anything? You are you and they are they. And that is the worst part of the job that you are doing, that you must be like somebody who is already successful. If you are like them, by virtue of that, you will be successful in the future. This is the dumbest logic that I have ever heard in my life.”

The actor further added, “It’s like somebody who makes ice-creams. If they give somebody vanilla ice-cream since they like vanilla, they only keep giving them vanilla ice-cream. No. You have to be another flavour of ice-cream. You have to make people like you, despite the fact that they like something else. And one day, you should be so good that people forget everything else and just want to consume only you. Why do you want somebody’s light? Every individual can be their own sun.”

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor, who last appeared in Bloody Daddy, is gearing up for an exciting untitled project alongside Kriti Sanon. Varun Dhawan, on the other hand, has a series by Raj and DK titled Citadel in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Tiger Shroff is set to charm audiences with his action-packed performances in Ganapath, Baaghi 4 and Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan with Akshay Kumar. The actor might also star in a film based on a mythological epic. However, an official confirmation is still awaited from the actor and the producers Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani.
