According to latest reports, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is likely to be postponed. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
Sometime back, Shah Rukh Khan announced that his upcoming film Dunki would be released in December this year, around Christmas or New Year. Coincidentally, Prabhas’ much-awaited film Salaar – Part 1: Ceasefire is also scheduled for a December 2023 release. The clash between the two films at the box office was anticipated by many fans as the biggest cinematic clash in India recently. However, according to new reports, Dunki’s release has been postponed.
Taking to the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan wrote, “Buzz: #SalaarVsDunki X #ShahRukhKhan’s #Dunki likely to get POSTPONED. #Prabhas’ #Salaar to get a SOLO record release.”
Lets Cinema also took to the platform and wrote, “Reports suggest, #Dunki might get postponed from December 22nd due to delayed post-production timelines. Awaiting on official confirmation.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Dunki is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu alongside Shah Rukh, marking their first on-screen pairing together. Meanwhile, Prabhas’ Salaar is directed by Prashant Neel. The film also stars Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
