Shah Rukh Khan To Screen Jawan For His NGOs, Says ‘Being An entertainer If I Can Make Them Smile…’ –

Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation is associated with many NGOs across India.

Shah Rukh Khan has revealed that he will be screening Jawan for all the NGOs his Meer Foundation works with.

Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, refuses to slow down at the box office despite nearly two weeks of its release. The Atlee directorial continues to make moolah at the ticket window. On its second Sunday, Jawan reportedly earned around Rs 13.16 crores nett in all languages. Two weeks after the film’s release, Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) and engaged in an #AskSRK session with his fans.

Jawan is not only breaking records but is doing so in record time. It is the fastest film to enter the Rs 100 cr, 200 crore, 300 crore, 400 crore and 500 crore clubs. By the end of its second week, Pathaan had minted Rs 458.9 crore, which is Rs 67.83 crore less than what Jawan has made in the same timeframe.

A fan asked if he has philanthropic plans now that the film is a blockbuster. To this, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Yeah the whole family has been saying it. Will start with all our partners that Meer Foundation works with to show everyone the film. Being an entertainer if I can make all of them smile it will be most satisfying. Telling @RedChilliesEnt just now. Tks for the idea.”

When another fan asked him about Meer foundation and pointed out that not many are aware of his philanthropic deeds, he wrote, “I think we are moving in the right direction and helping as many as we can to lead a happier life. No need to talk about that. But very excited I have just told them to show the film #Jawan to all NGOs this week. All over. Somebody just gave me that idea so feeling happy.”

Jawan also starred Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone and Vijay Sethupathi.
