Shah Rukh Khan has the internet talking with his appearance at the 77th Locarno Film Festival.
Shah Rukh Khan raised eyebrows after he appeared to be playfully ‘pushing an old man’ aside on the red carpet of the 77th Locarno Film Festival. The Bollywood superstar was invited to the film festival in Switzerland, where he was honoured with the Pardo Alla Carriera award. He was welcome by a sea of fans. While many videos of Shah Rukh posing for the cameras are breaking the internet, a video of him seemingly ‘pushing’ a person off the red carpet has also caught everyone’s attention.
In the video, Shah Rukh walked on the red carpet of the film festival and posed for the cameras. He noticed a man in the corner seemingly coming into the frame. Shah Rukh ran up to him and moved him aside before returning to his designated spot. A fan claimed Shah Rukh knew the person in question and was friends with him. While it seems like a playful act, the internet is divided.
“Are we looking at the same video? this does not look playful to me,” a social media user said. “This lowkey looks bad but it’s his friend right,” added another. Fans defended the superstar. “Abbe uski team ka hi banda hai woh,” a fan wrote. “Stop making an everest out of this silly gesture guys. That was just a move pulled off with his friend and the guy appears to have taken it in the same fun spirit SRK did,” another social media user wrote.
More clarity on the situation is awaited.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh’s speech from the 77th Locarno Film Festival has gone viral. While SRK shared his heart in the moving speech, he left everyone in splits after he confessed he couldn’t pronounce the name of the award. “This award here, which, for the life of me, I’ve been trying… I can’t pronounce,” he joked. When the host helped him by saying the title of the award again, he joked, “The Leopard award for being the most awesome in the world, in the history of humility and kindness and goodness.”
