Saif Ali Khan had left everyone in splits when he appeared on Koffee With Karan in 2018 with Sara Ali Khan. Although the episode gave an insight into their relationship, it was Saif trolling Sara that stole the show! A video of her rapid fire in the episode was brought back by fans on YouTube and it featured Saif poking fun at Sara’s love life. During the round, Karan Johar asked Sara what she describe the following people in one adjective.
When he mentioned Sushant Singh Rajput, Sara said, “Different.” When Karan dropped Ranbir Kapoor’s name, Saif jumped in and revealed that Sara wanted to marry Ranbir. “Didn’t you want to marry him?” Saif asked. “Yeah, we don’t talk about that,” she said, when Saif asked if the word ‘husband’ would be perfect to describe Ranbir and cracked up. Karan then asked Sara to write a dating bio for Ranbir. “I’m not single cause Sara wants to marry me,” she replied. Karan then asked her to name an actor that she would like to date. Sara then mentioned Kartik Aaryan, the moment continues to be one of the most memorable moments in the history of Koffee With Karan.
“I want to marry Ranbir Kapoor, not date him. I want to date Kartik Aaryan,” she said. Her confession left Karan in shock. Saif intervened to ask if Kartik has money in his bank. “Is he got money?” Saif asked. “Got money, you can take her,” Saif said, leaving everyone in splits.

Kartik and Sara were rumoured to be dating during the making of Love Aaj Kal (2020). However, they allegedly split before the film’s release. While Sara admitted that they dated, Kartik did not confirm the same.
On the work front, Sara will be seen in Metro In Dino whereas Saif Ali Khan will be seen in Devara with Jr NTR.
