Vicky Kaushal’s film, Sam Bahadur, has hit the big screens. Prior to its release, the film’s team organized a special screening attended by several industry stalwarts. The attendees included popular names like Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Sidharth Malhotra, Vidya Balan and others. Most of them were notably impressed by Vicky’s performance and the overall execution of the biopic. Post-screening, Sara Ali Khan, who previously co-starred with Vicky in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, showered him with compliments, expressing her admiration for his work.
Sara Ali Khan took to Instagram to share a picture from the film and wrote, “Honestly no words can describe what a pleasure watching you is. The ease with which you transform is impeccable. Versatility, conviction & brilliance. Can’t wait for everyone to yet again witness your excellence. Best of Luck Vicky Kaushal and the entire cast and crew of Sam Bahadur! Meghna Gulzar thank you for yet another beautiful story! Your work continues to inspire us all.” Sara Ali Khan also lauded Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh for their impressive roles in Sam Bahadur.
Other industry figures, including Abhishek Bachchan and Ashutosh Gowariker, also extended their congratulations to Vicky Kaushal for delivering a stunning performance in the film.
Abhishek Bachchan took to his X handle to share his first impressions of the film. He wrote, “Saw Sam Bahadur last night. The enormity of all that Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw did and achieved is overwhelming! And so beautifully told on celluloid by my favourite Meghna Gulzar.” He added that it’s an enormous duty to play one of India’s greatest sons, and the team pulled it off brilliantly. “My veerey, Vicky Kaushal , what do I even say about you… you continue to set the bar so high for all of us and then so effortlessly jump over it as only Sam can. All I can say is “Well done, sweety!!!” he wrote.

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker was all praise for the film and the cast. He stated, “Everything you wanted to know about Sam Manekshaw HERE IT Is.” He lauded Meghna Gulzar’s directorial prowess and Vicky Kaushal’s “brilliantly detailed performance.”
Sam Bahadur is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. His service career spanned four decades, and he bravely fought five wars. The film pays tribute to Manekshaw and his contributions to the Indian Army and the country as a whole. Apart from Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh also play key roles in the film.
