Sanya Malhotra was last seen as Dr Eram in the Atlee directorial film Jawan, headlined by Shah Rukh Khan.
Sanya Malhotra is currently basking in the record-breaking success of her latest film Jawan, headlined by superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Sanya essayed the role of Eram, a doctor who joins Shah Rukh on his path of revenge. The film was released earlier this month and entered the Rs. 100 crore club on its first day. Now, Jawan is expected to enter the Rs. 1000 crore club soon, making cinematic history. As the film continues to garner her more praise, Sanya on Monday paid a visit to the Ganpati pandal at Lalbaugcha Raja.
Sanya looked radiant in a yellow kurta set as she paid a visit to the deity amid Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. She flaunted her natural curls and kept her look simple by pairing the outfit with white juttis and yellow earrings. Lalbaugcha Raja is a popular spot among celebrities for Ganesh Puja. Recently, Sanya’s co-star Shah Rukh also made an appearance at the pandal with his younger son AbRam.
Talking about working with Shah Rukh, Sanya told ETimes, “He is so good. He is easy. He’s talking to people and as well as listening to their stories. He never went back to his vanity to chill. It was so hot outside when we were shooting for Zinda Banda. Anyone would have gotten tired, but sir did not stop. All of us, girls, were excited to be dancing alongside Shah Rukh Khan.”
“It was a pinch-me moment for everyone. I wanted to rush back to the hotel and call my mother and tell her, ‘Mamma maine Shah Rukh sir ke sath kaam kiya, bilkul sath me khade hokar (Mom, I have worked with Shah Rukh Khan).’ It’s unbelievable. Neither did he stop nor did he ask to change the step. He completely surrenders to the vision,” she added.
The Atlee directorial film was released in theatres on September 7 amid much anticipation. It also features stellar performances by Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone among others.
