Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece, Sharmin Saigal, is now married! The actress, who was rumoured to have got engaged earlier this year, has now officially married Aman Mehta, the director at the multinational pharmaceutical company Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Sharmin Segal has taken to social media to post beautiful pictures from her wedding ceremony.
On her special day, Sharmin Segal slipped into a stunning mauve lehenga, heavily embellished with intricate embroidery and cutwork on both the elbow-length sleeved blouse and the lehenga itself. She complemented the trousseau with a pearl and kundan choker, along with a matching maang tikka. Aman, on the other hand, opted for an ivory sherwani.
Sharmin Segal shared a picture from the wedding ceremony on her Instagram stories. The couple could be seen holding hands while seated at the mandap. “The best moment of my life with the love of my life You are stuck with me FOR LIFE @amansmehta,” she captioned it. Another picture featured Sharmin’s mother Bella Bhansali Segal with them.
A few days ago, their pre-wedding celebration kicked off in Italy. Their friends shared a few stunning pictures from the festivities. In other photos, Sharmin showed off her unique mehendi design. Among the distinctive patterns, one highlights a dog, while another centers around a pizza.
Sharmin Segal, the daughter of Bella Bhansali Segal and Deepak Segal, forayed into the film industry with her acting debut in 2019’s Malaal, a Sanjay Leela Bhansali production co-starring Meezan Jafri. Having closely worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali as an assistant director on projects like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Gangubai Kathiawadi, Sharmin expanded her roles into acting post Malaal. She starred in the horror comedy film Atithi Bhooto Bhava. Her upcoming project is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT series, Heeramandi, a period drama featuring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha and Sanjeeda Shaikh.
