Salman Khan reveals how Honey Singh created a rap for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in just 30 minutes and featured in the music video.

Honey Singh has provided his iconic voice and rap talents to numerous Bollywood tracks, but for Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the actor had a special request. Salman didn’t just want Honey to rap for the song “Let’s Dance Chotu Motu,” he also asked him to feature in the music video. Honey opened up about this collaboration in his recently released Netflix documentary, Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous.

In the documentary, Honey Singh recalls, “Salman Khan has sent me this song. This song is made, and he wants me to rap in it. He is shooting for the song in the next two days. I have gotten this opportunity to sing this song, and he has also asked me if I want to rap in this song. So, we will see.”

The film captures Honey listening to the track and identifying the need for a rap segment to enhance its energy. “We will have to come up with a rap for the song,” he notes, followed by footage of him collaborating with his team to craft the rap lyrics on the spot.

Salman Khan also shares his perspective in the documentary, explaining why Honey Singh was the perfect fit for the track. “I was shooting for Bhaijaan in Hyderabad, and I had this thought, so I gave it to Honey. He went to the studio, and in half an hour, he finished the rap. Then I requested Honey to come and be in the song with us. It’s a really cool song for kids.”

Directed by Mozez Singh, Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous delves into the rapper’s struggles with mental health and substance abuse, offering an intimate look at his turbulent journey and eventual comeback. Premiering on Netflix on December 20, the documentary sheds light on the highs and lows of Honey’s life, showcasing his resilience and creativity.
