Salman Khan is currently grabbing headlines for his next action drama titled Sikandar. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as the lead actress. The film announcement was made on this year’s Eid and it will be released next year on the auspicious occasion of Eid. Well, today Pinkvilla has exclusively reported that the actor has resumed shooting despite a rib injury.

Pinkvilla mentioned in its report that the film’s team is currently working on a meticulously designed set representing Dharavi and Matunga, which has cost around Rs 15 crore to create. The schedule is set to last for 45 days before the crew relocates to a palace in Hyderabad for the next phase of production. Khan, dedicated to his role, is managing to perform with full care despite his injury.

The portal has earlier reported that Salman’s character includes elements of arrogance. His character embodies the true essence of a ‘Sikandar,’ coming from a royal lineage and displaying traits of anger and arrogance. It was noted that Salman last explored a ‘bad boy’ persona in a subplot of Sultan and fans loved it.

Coming to Salman Khan’s rib injury, recently he was seen attending an event in Mumbai. Several videos of the Bollywood superstar from the event went viral. Amid them a clip surfaced online which left fans concerned. In the viral video, Salman Khan can be seen struggling to get up from his seat. He takes the support of the sofa’s back and takes a while to stand up and greet Sonali Bendre, who was also present at the event. It should be noted that Salman Khan attended the event despite not being in the best of health. He recently suffered a rib injury.

Sikandar also represents AR Murugadoss’s highly anticipated return to Hindi cinema after an eight-year hiatus following Akira (2016). This film also reunites Salman Khan with producer Sajid Nadiadwala, a duo known for their blockbuster successes such as Kick, Judwaa, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
