Salaar Makers To Keep Ticket Rates High In First Weekend: Reports –

Netflix has reportedly bought the streaming rights for the film.

Hombale Films of KGF fame is producing Salaar, directed by Prashant Neel. It features Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu and other actors.

After delivering a spate of unsuccessful movies after the Baahubali films, Prabhas has a number of intriguing projects in the kitty, like Salaar, Kalki 2898, Spirit and Raja Deluxe. Salaar is almost ready for release with December 22 scheduled for its grand premiere.

It was earlier scheduled for a September release but was postponed. Fans believe the decision was taken to avoid a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan but the makers denied the claim. Currently, the Salaar team is adding the last touches to the film and post-production work is almost finished.

Concerning the most recent trailer, there is an update. The official announcement from the team is that the movie’s trailer will debut on December 1 at 7:19 PM. The crew also announced that the film will be distributed in IMAX format. Reportedly, Salaar has already done extremely well in the pre-release business. Reports suggest that the rights of the Telugu states alone have been sold for more than Rs 165 crore. It is also reported that a deal of Rs 60 crore has been signed with Mythri Movie Makers for the rights to the movie. Netflix has bought the streaming rights for the film, the reports added.

Now, according to reports, the ticket rates for the movie will be quite high so as to collect a good amount of money in the first weekend itself. All of Prabhas’s films after Baahubali 2 have dropped in collections dramatically after the first weekend so the makers of Salaar are playing it safe by trying to increase profits by keeping ticket rates high in the first weekend before any negative reviews can affect its business. If reports are to be believed, ticket rates will be as high as Rs 410 in multiplexes and Rs 250 in single screens.

Hombale Films of KGF fame is producing Salaar, directed by Prashant Neel who also directed the two KGF films. The film will also star Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Ishwari Rao, Shriya Reddy and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles.
