SaaS startup Rocketlane raises $18 million in funding led by 8VC


Mumbai: Software as a Service (SaaS) startup Rocketlane has raised $18 million in its Series A funding round, led by 8VC with participation from Nexus VP and Matrix Partners.


The company will use the funds to expand product offerings, accelerate marketing, and grow its team.

Angel investor Gokul Rajaram has also invested in the latest round. In June last year, the company had
raised $3 million in seed funding from Matrix Partners India and Nexus Venture Partners.

“The company’s average month-on-month revenue growth has been upwards of 30%,” said Srikrishnan Ganesan, CEO and cofounder, Rocketlane.

Rocketlane counts companies such as Linksquares, ParcelLab, ReleaseHub, Appcues, ContractPod AI, Chargebee, Delhivery, Yellow.ai, Moengage, Webengage, AccelData, Netcore, MSD, Pando, among others, as clients.

“Customer onboarding represents a new two-sided project management problem that simply cannot be addressed by a patchwork of existing project management tools,” said Bhaskar Ghosh, partner and chief technology officer of 8VC. “Rocketlane has dared to provide a fresh new take to serve this category.”

Founded in 2020 by two-time entrepreneur trio Ganesan, Vignesh Girishankar and Deepak Bala, Rocketlane offers a purpose-built unified workspace for collaborating with customers for onboarding projects.

The founders previously managed Freshchat at Freshworks, after the latter acquired their chat business Konotor (which powered chat in apps like Zomato, Swiggy and BigBasket) in 2015. The company launched its product in June last year.

“The Rocketlane team is off to a fast start towards establishing category leadership in the customer onboarding domain and has grown at a rapid clip in the last nine months,” said Vikram Vaidyanathan, managing director, Matrix India.

The platform helps businesses shorten their time-to-value, streamline their software implementation journeys, and provide real-time visibility.
