Royal Enfield will launch the new Himalayan tomorrow at its MotoVerse biking festival (previously known as Rider Mania).
The new Himalayan debuts Royal Enfield’s first, modern liquid-cooled engine with elements such as DOHC architecture and a 4-valve head. Christened the Sherpa 450, it makes 40hp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm, making it the torquiest Indian single-cylinder engine. This new motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
