Royal Enfield Classic 350, colours, features -DellyRanks

The updated Royal Enfield Classic 350 now gets more features but the design largely remains unchanged.

Royal Enfield has recently introduced the refreshed 2024 Classic 350 model in India. While there have been no alterations to the motorcycle’s mechanics, it now boasts of new features and cosmetic updates. Let us delve into the new additions in comparison with the old Classic 350 which is due for replacement.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 features: new vs old

Royal Enfield has made updates to the motorcycle’s lighting configuration, incorporating LED lighting for the headlamp, pilot lights, taillight, and turn indicators. The LED headlamp used is identical to the one found on the Royal Enfield’s Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650 models. In addition, the latest Classic 350 now includes adjustable brake and clutch levers, a USB-C charging port, and a gear-position indicator. It’s worth noting that most of these new features are only offered in the top-spec versions of the motorcycles.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 customization and colours: new vs old

Royal Enfield has unveiled seven new colour options for the 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350, including Jodhpur Blue, Emerald, Madras Red, Commando Sand, Medallion Bronze, Sand Grey, and Stealth Black. In addition to these fresh paint choices, the company has introduced a factory custom program that enables customers to personalise their motorcycles by selecting colours, stickers, seat fabrics and badges according to their preferences. To participate in this customization process, customers are required to schedule appointments with Royal Enfield’s industrial designers in advance.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 engine: new vs old

Excluding the cosmetic and feature enhancements, the new Classic 350 remains mechanically the same as the model it replaces. It’s still powered by a 349cc, single-cylinder, that produces 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm. This air/oil-cooled motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The motor is the same as before and packs the same characteristics and the iconic thump.

Meanwhile, the rest of the hardware too has been carried over from the previous model. This includes the telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear for suspension duties. Moreover, the entry-level Classic 350 variants are equipped with a disc/drum configurations along with single-channel ABS. However, the top-spec variants feature disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels with dual-channel ABS for better stopping power.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 price: new vs old

The upcoming Classic 350 is scheduled to be launched on September 1, 2024. It remains to be seen how Royal Enfield will price the upcoming Classic 350 and its variants. We expect a slight increase in price given the addition of the new features and components. It also remains to be seen how much more of a premium a customised Classic 350 as part of Royal Enfield’s program would cost over any of its standard versions.
