One of the memorable moments from Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives was Riddhima Kapoor Sahni accidentally spilling wine on Shalini Passi during a dinner scene. The incident sparked discussions among fans, as the Mumbai wives pointed out that Riddhima hadn’t acknowledged or apologised at the moment. Now, Riddhima has addressed the incident in a recent interview, saying that her apology was sincere and personal.
Speaking to Zoom, Riddhima shared, “When I met Shalini, my apology was genuine, and I made a joke out of it as well just to keep it light. I was genuinely asking her, ‘Are you okay? Was this vacation sort of imposed on you, or are you comfortable with everyone being together?’” She added, “If I mean something, I will say it, and if I don’t, I won’t. I did apologise to her. I wanted to meet her one-on-one and personally express my apology.”
Riddhima clarified that she and Shalini have met several times since the incident and that their bond remains strong. “There is no bad blood between us, and I hold the deepest respect for her,” she said.
Shalini Passi, in a previous interview with Showsha, also spoke about her relationship with Riddhima and Kalyani Chawla, describing them as family. “Kalyani is like family to me, and Riddhima is like my little sister,” Shalini said.
Addressing her approach to criticism and confrontation, Shalini admitted, “It’s about control. I know that if I lash out, it can deeply hurt someone, and that’s not what I want. I told Riddhima, you can’t use the ‘brahmastra’—the ultimate weapon—over small things. While I may say things unintentionally, when I say something with intention, it takes me months to get over it.”
The latest season of the Netflix reality show introduced Shalini, Riddhima, and Kalyani as representatives of Delhi, contrasting with the original Mumbai group featuring Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari, and Seema Sajdeh. The new dynamic between the Delhi and Mumbai wives added fresh drama and intriguing moments to the series.
