Richa Chadha is currently basking in the success of Fukrey 3, the latest instalment in the beloved comedy franchise. A decade after the original film hit the screens, the third instalment has not only cemented the franchise’s reputation as a laughter riot but has also elevated Richa Chadha’s career to new heights. The actress who is not only known for her versatility but also for being vocal, is not shying away from admitting that she is in the 100 crore club and no one can take that away from her.
During an interview with agency IANS, Richa Chadha expressed her emotions after Fukrey minted Rs 107.7 crores worldwide. She stated, “I feel great, grateful. I am very thankful to the makers when they chose me 10 years ago. I am grateful to Mrighdeep Singh Lamba (director) and for the character written I am grateful to writer Vipul Vig as well.”
She added, “I am just happy that I am in the Rs 100 crore club and no one takes this from me. I am a self-made woman. I am very proud of everything that I have achieved and also of the fact that I enjoyed my struggle and journey as much as I enjoy my success today.”
In a gesture of gratitude, Richa Chadha and her team visited the renowned Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai recently. Richa and her spot, her make-up person and her personal driver sought blessings at this sacred site, expressing their heartfelt thanks for the immense support from audiences who have contributed to the film’s success. Speaking about the film’s success and her visit to Siddhivinayak Temple, Richa Chadha said, “I am truly overwhelmed by the response that Fukrey 3 has received from the audience. Portraying Bholi Punjaban has been a challenging yet rewarding experience, and I am grateful to the viewers for embracing this character and the film with such enthusiasm.”
“Visiting Siddhivinayak Temple is a way for me to express my gratitude and seek blessings for everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey. This is a team effort. I truly believe in that. No one can achieve greatness alone. We should always thank God for the blessings bestowed on us and not always make demands because I feel very very grateful to have received multiple blessings, not just with this film but with my life in general,” she added.
Released on September 28, Fukrey 3 has taken the box office by storm, crossing the milestone of Rs. 50 crores within five days of the release. The film, which celebrates the enduring bond of friendship among four young men, uniquely features Richa as the sole female lead, essaying the role of the main antagonist, Bholi Punjaban.
