Rhea Chakraborty donned a traditional Bengali sari and wished her fans Shubho Bijoya, as she geared up bid Ma Durga adieu for this year.
After five days of festivities, it’s time to bid Ma Durga adieu. Bijoya Dashami, also called Dussehra, is significant Bengali festival celebrating Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon king Mahishasura. Actress Rhea Chakraborty, on the special day, channeled the Bengali in her and opted for a traditional look.
Taking to her Instagram account, the actress dropped a series of photos in Bengali traditional laal paar shada sari, that was passed on to her from her grandmother. She tied her hair in a bun and accessorised the look with a red bindi and chunky, gold earrings. She captioned the photos, “Shubho Bijoya Dashami ✨ This is my Dida’s (grandmother) saree. 100 years old. Something so special about wearing my ancestry ”
Many took to the comments section to compliment her on her traditional ensemble and charming looks. One user wrote, “Okay but how are u so stunning”, while another wrote, “Bengali beauty”.
In the photos, Rhea is photographed as she looks into the mirror.
On the personal front, Rhea, who once dated late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, is rumoured to be dating Zerodha founder Nikhil Kamath. The actress was recently spotted arriving at a party with her rumoured beau. She sat in the rear seat of the car, while Nikhil took the passenger seat. Rhea and Nikhil were seen twinning in black. While Rhea opted for an LBD, Nikhil was dapper in casuals.
Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar and Nikhil, who were previously dating, reportedly visited Rishikesh and also the Lusail Stadium in Qatar during the FIFA World Cup. Back around the same time, it was rumoured that Rhea Chakraborty had found love again, two and a half years after Sushant Singh Rajput passed away. The actress, who was subjected to public trials following SSR’s death in June 2020, was reportedly dating Seema Sajdeh’s brother Bunty Sajdeh.
