Redmi A2, Redmi A2+: Price 

Redmi has announced the pricing details for its Redmi A2 series smartphones in India. The base variant of the Redmi A2, with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, is priced at Rs. 5,999. The variant offering 2GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 6,499, while the model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage comes with a price tag of Rs. 7,499. On the other hand, the Redmi A2+ is available at a price of Rs. 8,499, featuring 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. These smartphones are offered in Black, Light Green, and Light Blue color options.

Customers can purchase both the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ smartphones in India from various channels, including Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi’s retail partners. The availability will begin on May 23 at 12pm IST. Redmi has introduced a special offer for customers using ICICI Bank cards, providing them with a cashback of Rs. 500 when buying the Redmi A2 series smartphones. Additionally, both handsets come with a two-year warranty, ensuring customer satisfaction and peace of mind.

Redmi A2, Redmi A2+: Specifications

Redmi’s dual SIM smartphones, the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+, operate on the Android 13 operating system. They boast a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 1600 x 720 pixels resolution, featuring a waterdrop-style notch that accommodates the front-facing cameras. The Redmi A2 series is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC and offers up to 4GB of RAM. Additionally, the devices support virtual RAM functionality, allowing the available memory to be expanded up to 7GB.

In terms of camera capabilities, both the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ feature an AI-assisted dual rear camera system that consists of an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a QVGA camera. This setup enables enhanced photography functionality. For capturing selfies and engaging in video chats, these smartphones are equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera sensor.

Both the smartphones offer expandable onboard storage of up to 64GB, which can be further increased using a microSD card with a dedicated slot, supporting expansion of up to 512GB.
