This little girl is none other than Shreya Ghoshal who has been enchanting the audience ever since she first appeared in the television singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma. The versatile singer is popular not just in Bollywood, but in various other industries too as she has lent her voice in multiple Indian languages. She is known for her wide vocal range and versatility and has received several accolades which include the National Film Awards, Kerala State Film Awards, Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, BFJA Awards, Filmfare Awards and Filmfare Awards South.
At the mere age of 4, Shreya Ghoshal began taking her formal training in classical music. It was the mother of Black director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali who first noticed her which paved the way for success in the entertainment industry. She made her debut in 2002 in Devdas and even won the National Film Award for Bairi Piya. She also was honoured with the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer, a Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer, and a Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent.
Apart from touching the hearts of millions with her songs in movies and albums, she is also a judge in television reality shows. She was honoured by the state of Ohio in the United States of America where Governor Ted Strickland declared the date June 26 2010 as Shreya Ghoshal Day. In 2017, she became the first Indian singer to have her wax statue showcased in the Madame Tussauds Museum in Delhi. A few of her hits are Nagada Sang Dhol, Dhak Baja Kashor Baja, Chikni Chameli, Teri Meri, Param Sundari, Onnavitta yarum yenakila and Teri Ore.
In 2015, the singer tied the knot to her childhood friend and long-time beau Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya. In May 2021, she gave birth to a son named Devyaan.
