In the new episode, a touching tribute was paid to the legendary Mohammed Rafi on Rafi Night. In the episode, Laisel, who hails from Mohali in Punjab, along with her captain Pawandeep Rajan, gave a beautiful performance of Jo Wada Kiya Woh Nibhana Padega from Taj Mahal and Gulabi Aankhen Jo Teri Dekhi from The Train.
Talking about the performance, Raza said, “Laisel, it is an incredible challenge to sing a song by Mohammed Rafi Sahab, especially for someone so young. But you have sung it with so much grace and the way you have handled the notes is commendable. It is a big challenge for any female singer to sing a famous song by a male singer and you have done it with such perfection.”
“I must say, your voice has a unique quality that reminds me of the young Asha Bhosle. Your voice carries the sweetness and style of Asha’s early songs. Your talent is truly remarkable,” added Raza, known for his works in Yaadgar, Main Balwaan, Aunty No 1 and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.
Super judge Neha Kakkar added, “Pawan, you sing so effortlessly. It warms my heart to see such an innocent boy singing with such beauty and innocence. And Laisel, your performance was melodious. You are one of the best singers this season. Your singing is so well planned and I have seen you go from good to exceptional with time and practice.”
