Ranveer Singh as Simmba drops a BTS photo from Singham Again prep
Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh is expected to release in the first half of 2024.
After riding high on the success of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, Ranveer Singh is back in his work mode. The actor who will soon be seen in Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, will be reprising his role as Simmba for the same. Recently, he took to his Instagram handle to drop a BTS photo of himself sweating out in the gym. Flaunting his muscular physique, Ranveer sported a black vest and matching trousers. He also added the Singham theme song with the selfie.

The first two films from Shetty’s cop drama universe, Singham and Singham Returns, saw Ajay Devgn portraying the role of Bajirao Singham. They were followed by Ranveer Singh, who played Sangram Simmba Bhalerao in Simmba. The fourth film featured film featured Akshay Kumar essaying the role of Veer Suryavanshi, a character that was introduced as an anti-terrorist squad officer in Simmba.
Ranveer Singh’s Singham released back in 2018. The film starred Sara Ali Khan as the leading lady for the film. Now, the actor will reprise his character in Singham Again, which marks Ajay Devgn’s return as DCP Bajirao Singham, after his first two film.
The film is expected to release in the second half of 2024. Given the failure of Shetty’s last directorial Cirkus, he is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that nothing goes wrong with Singham Again.
Notably, Singham Again marks the fifth instalment of Rohit Shetty’s successful film Singham, followed by Singham Returns, Simmba and Sooryavanshi.
Earlier this month, Rohit Shetty shared an official announcement of the same with Ranveer and Ajay beginning their shoot. “Singham, Singham returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi…12 Years ago, when we made Singham, we never thought that it would turn into a Cop Universe! Today, we begin filming Singham Again… the 5th film in our cop franchisee. ISME HUM APNI JAAN LAGA DENGE! BAS AAPKE PYAAR AUR DUA KI ZAROORAT HAI!,” he wrote.
Ajay took to social media to write, “12 years ago, we gave Indian Cinema its biggest cinematic Cop Universe. With all the love we have received over the years, the force got stronger and the Singham family got bigger. Today we come together to take our franchise ahead with Singham Again!”
Ranveer Singh, who starred in Simmba, wrote that he is excite to reprise one of his most-loved characters. Sharing photos from the mahurat, he wrote, “All set to reprise one of my most loved characters from the Rohit Shetty Cop Universe – SIMMBA ♂️ in #SinghamAgain ! We seek your love and blessings for our new journey ♥️.”
