Randeep Hooda married Lin Laishram in a traditional Meitei ceremony in Imphal on Wednesday.

Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot on Wednesday, November 29. The lovebirds had a traditional Meitei ceremony in Imphal. It was an intimate affair with close friends and family in attendance. A video from their wedding went viral on social media. Later, the actor dropped the first photos from his wedding on Instagram. He wrote, “From today, we are One.”

Randeep, who decided to celebrate Lin’s culture, looked handsome in the traditional Manipuri ensemble featuring the iconic Kokyet headdress along with a simple white kurta paired with a white dhoti. Looking stunning as a Manipuri bride, Lin Laishram’s look featured the traditional Potloi or Polloi skirt, made of bamboo and fabric.

The couple also sought blessings at a temple in Heingang, Imphal East district, ahead of the wedding. Lin took to social media to share photos from their visit. Randeep Hooda was seen inside the temple performing rites while dressed in a well-cut kurta. On the other hand, Lin chose a beautiful pink saree for the special occasion.

Randeep and Lin Laishram had kept their relationship private. They published a joint statement on Instagram confirming their wedding date some days ago. The statement read, “Taking a leaf out of Mahabharata where Arjuna married Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada, We are getting married with the blessings from our families and friends. We are filled with immense joy to share that our marriage will take place on the 29th of November 2023, Imphal, Manipur followed by a reception in Mumbai. As we set to embark on this journey, we seek your blessings and love for this union of cultures, for which we are forever indebted and grateful. IN LOVE AND LIGHT, LIN & RANDEEP.”

“I felt that it’s only respectful to come and marry in the bride’s traditions. I look forward to the ceremony and experiencing my partner’s culture. I just hope I don’t make any mistakes,” Hindustan Times quoted Randeep as saying.
