Ranbir Kapoor appeared overwhelmed after Mahesh Bhatt sent him a special message in the recent episode of Indian Idol. Ranbir was on the show with Rashmika Mandanna to promote their film, Animal. Amid performances and promotions, the actor was surprised with a video from Bhatt who was all praise for Ranbir as a father. The director, who is Ranbir’s father-in-law, called Ranbir the ‘best father in the world.’
Mahesh Bhatt Praises Ranbir Kapoor
“Alia, who I believe is a miracle, says Ranbir is one of the best actors in our country. But I believe Ranbir is the world’s best father. When he sees Raha (Ranbir and Alia’s daughter), I wish you could see his eyes at that time. His mother, Neetu Kapoor, says, ‘Aisa pyaar toh maa karti hai apni bachiyo se jo Ranbir karta hai Raha se.’ I’m proud I have a son-in-law like Ranbir,” Mahesh Bhatt said.
Ranbir was visibly moved by his words and said, “He has never said such things to me in person. So thank you Indian Idol for this. I have been passed by my son-in-law.”
Ranbir Kapoor Welcomed Raha in 2022
Ranbir welcomed Raha with Alia in November 2022. The actor has not revealed her face to fans yet. However, he has not shied away from speaking about her on multiple occasions. During a recent event, Bobby Deol revealed Ranbir video calls Raha and talks to her.

“His daughter is such a cutie. She has grown so much. Imagine the film started with his daughter being born and now she is 1 year old. He has been through so much for this film because you see the promo and you realise that the character he has played, has so many complexities. It is the growth of a child itself in the movie. And then having his first child and experiencing the blessing of it. I think he should be talking more about it,” Bobby said.
Ranbir chimed in, “Raha is responding now, she is locking eyes. She gives flying kisses. There’s no bigger joy. It’s the most joyful thing in life. I highly recommend it to all you guys, to have lots of children.”
Currently, Ranbir is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Animal. Co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, Animal is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film will release on December 1.
