Ranbir Kapoor collaborated with Luv Ranjan and Shraddha Kapoor for the first time for the 2023 romantic comedy film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. In a recent chat, director Luv Ranjan recalled his time working with Ranbir and revealed that the actor even gave 37 takes for one particular scene.
“It was a new association. Ranbir and I were working together for the first time… We started talking there. It was a film we were supposed to do together but the combination didn’t work well and the film didn’t get made,” Ranjan explained. Their talks then led them to make Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. “We had discussed it a lot. We decided that since this idea is good, we should do this film instead,” Ranjan said on Sony Max.
Ranjan recalled, “There are times, while making a film, lots of interesting things happen… For example, it was the third day of the shoot and we took 37 takes of Ranbir. He is the kind of person, who, even after giving 37 takes, will come to you and say, ‘If you are not 100 per cent happy, let me know, I’ll give one more. Don’t just say okay because I gave 37 takes.’”
Meanwhile, the dotting dad of Raha has recently wrapped up a key schedule for Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated Ramayana. In this project, Ranbir takes on the revered role of Ram, while Sai Pallavi will be portraying Sita. The buzz surrounding the film only gets bigger with the news that KGF star Yash has been confirmed to play Ravana. The film’s star-studded lineup doesn’t end there – Arun Govil and Lara Dutta will reportedly be playing Dashrath and Kaikeyi and some reports even suggest that Sunny Deol may take on the role of Hanuman, though no official word has come out yet.
Adding to the excitement regarding his upcoming film is a major re-release. Fans of Ranbir and Katrina Kaif can rejoice as Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is all set for a re-release on October 25. This beloved film announced its return recently. The filmmakers shared a vibrant poster on Instagram, featuring none other than Ranbir and Katrina as Prem and Jenny. The post was captioned, “Celebrate love and friendship as Prem and Jenny return to cinemas! Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani re-releasing in cinemas on October 25th,” reminding fans of the charming duo’s timeless chemistry.
