This marks Ranbir Kapoor’s first public apearance ever since he has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate.

Ranbir Kapoor was snapped by the paparazzi outside a clinic in Mumbai on Friday morning. In a video that surfaced online, the Brahmastra actor is seen stepping out of his car as he walks towards the clinic and asks paparazzi to stay out. “Andar mat aana (do not come inside),” he says. He sported a pink sweatshirt and paired it with blue jeans and white shoes. However, the reason for Ranbir’s visit to the clinic is not known as of now.

This marks Ranbir Kapoor’s first public apearance ever since he has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate. Earlier this week, had reported that Ranbir Kapoor was summoned by the ED in connection with the online betting case. Sources told us that four people have already been arrested in connection with the case and Ranbir was asked to appear in front of ED on Friday, October 6, for questioning.

“Ranbir Kapoor has been summoned to understand the betting business transactions. At this point, he has not been summoned as accused. His questioning is important to know his knowledge about the money sources he received. It will possibly indicate the plans of the promoters and their association,” a source close to ED told us and then added, “Ranbir Kapoor may not be part of conspiracy but very important to understand the scam.”

However, it was later reported the actor’s team then reached out to the central agency and requested them two weeks time to appear before the team.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, several other celebrities including Kapil Sharma, Hina Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Huma Qureshi have also been summoned by ED in connection to the case.

For the unversed, the Mahadev betting apps have different games, lotteries and betting options for everything under the sun, including the prediction of election results, weather, matches etc. These have been operational for the past four years. The online app, like other Ponzi schemes, targeted the lower income group. The games, the lotteries and betting options were all rigged where the ‘players’ always lost money and the company gained. Reportedly, Chandrakar’s company allegedly gained around Rs 5,000 crore through the scam.
