The film is now gearing up for its OTT premiere. The digital rights have been sold to Disney+Hotstar. The streaming giant revealed the official release date of Skanda: The Attacker, which is November 2, on social media. In the announcement video, a helicopter is seen ready for its take-off. Then the helicopter is seen carrying a giant-sized phone, which displays scenes from the film. This has been created with the help of the CGI effect.
The caption of the tweet on X (formerly known as Twitter) reads: “Hold on tight as Skanda is coming to take you on a wild action adventure! RaPoRampage on Hotstar will be streaming from 2nd November!”
Skanda: The Attacker was supposed to premiere last week on OTT, but got postponed due to unknown reasons. DisneyPlus Hotstar paid a huge price to grab the rights to the film and it is also the highest-ever price paid for any of Ram Pothineni film’s digital rights.
The satellite rights of Skanda have been acquired by Star Maa and the TV premiere of Skanda will happen in the second week of November, as per the reports.
The plot of Skanda focuses on Ram Pothineni’s character, who kidnaps the daughters of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana’s Chief Ministers. Later in the film, it is revealed that he indulged in this act to provide justice to his father’s friend — who is awaiting the death penalty for a case he has been falsely accused of. By the end of the film, it also hints at a possible sequel.
Skanda: The Attacker features Ram Pothineni in a dual role alongside Sreeleela, Saiee Manjrekar, Sharath Lohithaswa, Srikanth and Prince Cecil in crucial roles. The film also stars Urvashi Rautela in a special dance number. The music of the film has been scored by S Thaman.
