This comes a day after another tragic incident took place during the Pushpa 2 screening at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad in which a woman lost her life.
A shocking incident took place at a theatre in Telangana on Thursday, December 5, after a man and his friends vandalised the movie hall. Reportedly, the incident took place in Chennur town of the Mancherial district after a man named Bajjuri Vinay lost his cool when the theatre failed to screen the Allu Arjun starter, Pushpa 2: The Rule.
As reported by the news agency ANI, the man allegedly damaged the glass window panes of the Srinivas Theatre as they trespassed into the theatre premises protesting against the theatre management. Not just this, the man also allegedly threatened to kill the owner Rajamalla Goud if the Allu Arjun starrer movie was not exhibited. A complaint has now been filed and the man has been booked under relevant sections.

The chaos unfolded as massive crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the film’s star, Allu Arjun, who was attending the event alongside music director Devi Sri Prasad. In the ensuing commotion, the theatre’s main gate collapsed, resulting in a stampede. A 35-year-old woman lost her life, and her 9-year-old son sustained severe injuries. Among others, actor Allu Arjun has also been booked in the case.
Later, Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of Pushpa 2, also issued a statement on the tragic incident. “We are extremely heartbroken by the tragic incident during last night’s screening. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and the young child undergoing medical treatment.We are committed to standing by them and extending all possible support during this difficult time,” it read.
Pushpa 2: The Rule was undoubtedly the most awaited film of the year. It has been getting an overwhelming response from the audience. The film has already earned Rs 175 crore on its opening day.
