Sony has revealed the PS5 India restock date as July 26, 2021. Details are here. Original story as follows.
The PS5 should see another restock soon. IGN India reader and YouTuber TubeStation tipped us off that Sony’s own retail arm, ShopAtSC had re-listed the PS5 with a ‘notify me’ button instead of the usual out of stock message.
Sources familiar with ShopAtSC’s plans tell us that Sony has informed stores of a PS5 restock which should take place next week though the quantities are smaller this time around. Expect the likes of Vijay Sales, Amazon India, Flipkart, and Reliance Digital to have listings up soon enough.
With the previously July 2021 restock as well as the one in June, Sony had given stores few units than anticipated. Also keep in mind that Sony had told retailers of a March and April restock, both of which never happened. So take this with a grain of salt until officially announced.
The PS4 and PS5 were India’s best-selling consoles in the month of June 2021 and July appears to be more of the same. This is because Sony finally ironing out supply chain issues to ensure that demand was met.
Also there were no Xbox Series X restocks and extremely limited Xbox Series S units making it to stores in the country though this should change soon.
