Prashanth Neel praises Prabhas

Prashanth Neel, who has made KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2, said that the Salaar world is very different from KGF.

Prabhas starrer Salaar is gearing up for its trailer release. The makers have announced that it will be released on December 1. The action drama has been making all the noise for its intense scenes. Well, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, director Prashanth Neel, who has made KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2, opened up on Salaar and revealed that the audience should not expect another KGF. He said that the Salaar world is very different from KGF.

Talking to Pinkvilla, Prashanth said, “Both are different stories, different emotions with different style of story-telling. Audience should not expect another KGF from Salaar – Salaar is a world of its own, it has got its own emotion and characters. I hope people see Salaar for the story that it sets up. We have set the tone of Salaar from the first scene itself,” Neel explains, adding further, “Cinema is the most consumable story telling format in India today. All that we intend to do is a story with Salaar.”

He even praised Prabhas and said, “Prabhas sir can show innocence like nobody else. But at the same time, he can also show you the aggression. I was sold on this aspect and have explored this quality in Salaar too. His personality perfectly suits for Salaar. He is a giant, who is very gentle.”

According to reports, the ticket rates for the movie will be quite high so as to collect a good amount of money in the first weekend itself. All of Prabhas’s films after Baahubali 2 have dropped in collections dramatically after the first weekend so the makers of Salaar are playing it safe by trying to increase profits by keeping ticket rates high in the first weekend before any negative reviews can affect its business. If reports are to be believed, ticket rates will be as high as Rs 410 in multiplexes and Rs 250 in single screens.

The film will also star Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Ishwari Rao, Shriya Reddy and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles. This film is poised to mark a significant comeback for Prabhas, especially following his recent film, Adipurush, which did not perform as expected.
