Pininfarina Battista India debut, power, acceleration, top speed, range details

The all-electric hypercar can do 0-100kph in under 2 seconds and does 500km on a single charge.

Mahindra-owned Pininfarina has debuted its Battista hypercar in India at the ongoing Hyderabad E-Motor Show. Globally revealed in early 2019, the Battista is a limited-run hypercar from the storied Italian design house. Described as “the most powerful road-legal Italian car ever built”, the all-electric Battista makes 1,900hp from a quad motor powertrain.

  1. Pininfarina Battista has a top speed of 350kph
  2. Unlikely to come to India

The Battista showcased in Hyderabad had the Indian tricolour flag livery at the rear. However, the car is merely for display and it is highly unlikely that it will be launched in India.

Pininfarina Battista in India: technical details

The Battista features a quad-motor set-up (one on each wheel) that makes 1,900hp and 2,300Nm of torque. Pininfarina says that the hypercar can do 0-100 in under 2 seconds,0-300kph in less than 12sec and reach a top speed of around 350kph. The motors are powered by a 120kWh battery pack that enables the EV hypercar to go a distance of 500km on a single charge and has charging speeds of up to 180kW.

The Battista is primarily meant for left-hand drive markets and only 150 units of it will ever be made. It costs over $2.2 million (approximately Rs 18 crore) in global markets.

The Pininfarina hypercar takes on the likes of the Rimac’s Nevera – which shares its powertrain with the Battista – and the 2,000hp Lotus Evija that is set to go on sale this year.
