Payment of `service charge` is a voluntary act, Restaurants can’t force consumers to pay service charge

In a letter composed by Rohit Kumar Singh, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs to President, National Restaurant Association of India, it has been brought up that the cafés and diners are gathering service charge from shoppers of course, despite the fact that assortment of any such charge is Voluntary and at the caution of customers and not required according to regulation.
