The ways we operate at work underwent a massive shift and it all happened practically in a matter of days. While facilitating the work-from-home model, it was also imperative for organizations to maintain the collaborative quotient with their workforce. This could be solely enabled through effective organizational initiatives that aided professional development through engagement on a personal level.
Beating the limitations with improved collaboration
At Hexaware Technologies, the initiatives that drive a wave of connection across the organization have become an essential part of the work culture. One such initiative is an exclusive session with the CEO, R Srikrishna, fondly known as Keech. This initiative, named ‘Koffee with Keech’, discusses a variety of critical topics that affect the morale and productivity of the workforce. Within the organization, these sessions hold the significance of being the breeding ground for differentiating programs conceptualized by the teams at Hexaware through the effective medium of conversation. This line of thought is powered by Hexaware’s firm belief in continuous learning.
Taking the first step towards women leadership
Overcoming the challenges faced by women while working from home is a valid subject that demands attention. Addressing this need, the topic was discussed in one of the sessions, wherein a panel of select women from Hexaware also participated. The conversation centered on the approach that could gauge, acknowledge and potentially resolve the challenges that women in Hexaware faced. The outcome of the discussion evidently established the potential of women in proficiently handling responsibilities in the professional sphere.
This insightful talk led to the inception of the women leadership program – Rising Women@Hexaware. As a conscious and sensible organization, Hexaware has consistently maintained the practice of listening. Its global workforce has always been provided with a platform that allows bilateral communication. In addition, the programs initiated are instrumental in developing next-generation leaders that can steer the organizational objectives ahead.
All about the program
The exclusive women leadership program, Rising Women@Hexaware, was launched with the focal intent of promoting women at Hexaware to reshape the future of the organization while laying a context-driven, contemporary and individualized base for their holistic development. This program manifests the strategic priority of developing leadership talent by creating opportunities for professional growth and personal enrichment. The thoughtfully-crafted program paves the way for women at Hexaware to create a formidable brand of leadership for themselves. As an organization that plans for its future, by 2023, Hexaware envisions women in influential positions redefining practices, trends and operational ecosystems across offerings and verticals.
The Selection of Rising Women
A crucial principle that drives talent at Hexaware is ‘Own Your Game’, wherein individuals are provided with the freedom to innovate, excel and eventually, inspire. Aspiration and ambition are the pillars that support this principle.
The selection process for Rising Women@Hexaware was led by the same philosophy as the selection process started with self-nomination from aspirants. Through an exhaustive and stringent process, 25 out of 600 eligible women were chosen for the pioneering batch of the program. Several stages of qualification were covered, which involved profile screening, followed by the submission of a statement of purpose and a personal interview. A guiding session for composing the statement of purpose was also conducted to assist the nominees. A total of 57 statements of purpose were submitted, out of which 40 made it to the personal interviews. The final round of interviews was conducted by a distinguished panel of members comprising senior leaders from various units of the organization.
This program is a part of Hexaware’s Diversity, Inclusion and Equity initiative and it truly reflects these components on a global scale with a heterogeneous mix of women.
In addition to assembling a diverse, aspiring and accomplished set of people, the participants for this exclusive program were chosen on the basis of the standards of moral contract, the duration of their association with Hexaware and the impact of their contributions in crucial organizational projects.
