Pankaj Tripathi On Winning The National Award For Mimi: ‘Banaya Hai Ye Ghar Maine Dheere Dheere’ –


While Kriti Sanon has bagged the best actress honours for Laxman Utekar’s Mimi at the 69th National Film Awards, Pankaj Tripathi that has recently impressed all with his portrayal in OMG 2, also clinched the National Award for Best Supporting Actor(Male). To celebrate this milestone, Pankaj Tripathi shared pictures from the prestigious National Award ceremony, in which he was seen receiving the accolade from President Droupadi Murmu.


On Saturday, Pankaj Tripathi took to his Instagram handle and dropped a bunch of pictures from the special event. In the first one, the OMG 3 actor can be seen sporting a white ethnic ensemble, holding his award, besides the President of India. Meanwhile, in a different snap, Pankaj Tripathi is smiling ear to ear, as he is sitting with his wife Mridula Tripathi and daughter Aashi Tripathi. The actor concluded the carasouel with a family selfie. He also wrote a note for the caption.

It quoted Ramdarash Tripathi’s iconic words, “Banaya hai maine yeh ghar dheere dheere. Khule mere khwabon ke par dheere dheere. Kisi ko giraya na khud ko uchhaala, kata zindagi ka safar dheere dheere. Jahaan aap pahunche chalaange lagakar, wahan main bhi aya magar dheere dheere.’ Gratitude to all of you,” the note read.

Back in August, Pankaj Tripathi had dedicated this award to his late father. He had shared, “This is unfortunately a period of loss and grieving for me. If Babuji was around, he would have been really happy for me. When I first got the National award mention, he was very proud and pleased. This National Award I dedicate to him and his spirit. I’m who I’m today because of him. I’m in loss of words due to this time but I’m happy and grateful to the team. Kriti also has won the Best Actress, so a huge congratulations to her.”

Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi’s father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, passed away on Monday, August 21. He was 99. The news of his death was confirmed by Pankaj’s team through an official statement.
