Apart from the cash discount, Ola is also offering a discount on extended warranty and interest rates.
Ola Electric had recently announced a number of offers, including a Rs 10,000 cash discount, on its S1 Pro electric scooter, which were valid till October 5. And now, on the back of an encouraging response, the EV start-up has decided to extend the validity of these offers.
- Ola tops EV sales charts in September
- Company expected to introduce MoveOS 3 update this month
Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has tweeted saying that the offers will be extended “till Diwali”, although no specific date has been mentioned. Aside from the Rs 10,000 cash discount, Ola is also offering a Rs 1,500 discount on its 5-year extended warranty, a reduced interest rate starting at 8.99 percent (down by 2.2 percent) and zero processing fee on loans for the S1 Pro.
Furthermore, Aggarwal also stated in a separate tweet that the company is “planning something big for our launch event this month”. While not confirmed, we believe the company is gearing up to introduce the MoveOS 3 OTA (Over The Air) update for its electric scooters. What features this update brings remains to be seen but it is likely that Ola will introduce the hill-hold assist, proximity unlock, voice assist functionality, and the ‘Moods’ functionality, as they weren’t introduced with MoveOS 2 update in June.
After months of steady decline, Ola saw a resurgence in its sales figures, topping the EV sales charts in September. The ongoing offers, coupled with the introduction of new experiences centres across India, are likely to have had a positive effect on the sales numbers.
